A Salty Arrival: Port Of Alexandria Estoras

The inspiration for Port of Alexandria comes from the romantic spirit of "The Adventures of Antal", a narrative woven by Estoras around the daring exploits of Prince Antal Esterhazy. On the brand's website, the story is told: "At noon on February 22nd, the travellers land in the bustling port of Alexandria, beruffled by the salty breeze of the Mediterranean." In designing Port of Alexandria, perfumer Zsolt Zólyomi and the Estoras creative team aimed to capture that precise moment of first encounter - the collision of sea air, docks, weathered wood, and the buzz of commerce. It's less about literally recreating a port and more about capturing an emotional moment: a scent portrait of a traveler arriving ashore, breathing in salt, wind, and distant horizons.

Olfactory Notes

On my skin the fragrance bursts open with bright citrus (lemon, bergamot) cut by fresh green grass and juniper — like the first inhale of salt-tinged air stepping off a ship. It’s an energetic dawn moment, crisp and luminous. A few minutes in, the heart unfurls: here I sense saline spray, a faint metallic / gasoline whisper, cypress and cardamom weaving through — the industrial hum of harbor life meeting forested docks. Over time the base settles in: marine accord, Atlas cedar, pine, moss, and returning cypress form a textured woody-salty foundation. It lingers like memory of sea, timber, and time spent waiting at the quay.
