Lu Bu was conceived as an olfactory portrait of a warrior, one forged by conflict, betrayal, and myth. The smokiness (gunpowder, “hot metal”) suggests weapons, battlefields, and the metallic echo of steel. The powdery iris, almond and vanilla soften the edges — offering humanity beneath the armor. The woods, tonka, and cedar root the fragrance in earth and memory. Together they evoke a synergy of strength and fragility.

Olfactory Notes

A tense, metallic spark: smoky gunpowder and clove flare quietly, like embers kindling. The initial shock gives way to a heart of paper, iris, and a whisper of blood accord. It's a delicate, dusty core - like a parchment stained with memories, or a wounded heart wrapped in translucent silk. Here, the fragrance "breathes." The composition settles into warm woods, sweet tonka and black vanilla, soft amyris, almond and cedar. The smoky-metal core remains audible in the background, but is now cushioned by a warm, powdery, enveloping depth.
