Harvest Mouse by Zoologist: warm, pastoral woody-aromatic fragrance

When developing Harvest Mouse, perfumer Luca Maffei drew inspiration from golden fields at the end of the harvest season and the tiny mice gathering seeds before nightfall. The fragrance presents a comforting countryside scene filled with wheat, chamomile, hay and the aroma of homemade treats. Zoologist describes it as a warm nest of homespun scent, where rich beer extract is balanced by balsamic resins, soft woods and vanilla. The result is an intimate, gently sweet composition that feels rustic, peaceful and warmly nostalgic.

 

Olfactory Notes

Upon the first spray, Bergamot and Orange Blossom bring a softly luminous citrus-floral freshness. Roman Chamomile contributes a dry, herbal quality, while Clove introduces a warm touch of spice.

As the fragrance develops, its distinctive pastoral character becomes more apparent. Hay Absolute creates the impression of sun-dried fields, while Davana adds a fruity, aromatic nuance. Beer Extract CO₂ provides a subtle malty and fermented effect rather than the smell of a freshly poured drink. Benzoin, Opoponax and Rose Absolute surround the accord with resinous sweetness and restrained floral warmth.

Finally, Harvest Mouse settles into a creamy, woody base. Vanilla softens the composition, while Sandalwood and Cedarwood create a smooth, comforting structure.
