Incense Rain

The moment just before the storm breaks. That's where Incense Rain lives.

It opens with a burst of dark, ripe energy — black currant, plum and red fruits edged with pink pepper and juniper. Bright but brooding. Sweet but restless. The kind of opening that makes you stop what you're doing.

The heart shifts like weather. Jasmine and neroli bring a fleeting, dewy lightness, while patchouli, cedar and violet pull everything back into shadow. There's a tension here — between bloom and bark, between soft and structural — that makes Incense Rain impossible to pin down.

Then the storm arrives.

The base is dense, complex and magnificent. Vetiver, guaiac wood, oakmoss and sandalwood build a smoky, earthy foundation. Incense rises through it like cathedral smoke. Castoreum adds an animalic edge. Rain notes — cool, grey, electric — cut through the warmth like air before lightning. Musk and vanilla hold it all together, just barely.

Composed by perfumer Chris Maurice and launched in 2023, this is a fragrance for people who find beauty in contrast. Dark and fresh. Smoky and clean. Ancient and alive.
