Orion Tiziana Terenzi: vibrant fruity, woody and smoky extrait

Orion belongs to the house’s Luna Collection and takes its inspiration from childhood memories shared by Tiziana and Paolo Terenzi. The official story recalls summer journeys with their father Evelino aboard his wooden sailboat near Mount Conero on Italy’s Adriatic coast. During these nighttime voyages, their grandfather Guglielmo would point out the Orion constellation while Mediterranean breezes, woodland aromas and distant fires accompanied the journey. Orion was created as an olfactory reflection of those memories: intense and spicy, yet balanced by freshness and fruit.

 

Olfactory Notes

The official composition opens with a “Cool Breezes” accord accompanied by Bergamot, Red Currant, Apple and Pineapple. This gives Orion a fresh, lively and fruit-driven beginning in which citrus brightness contrasts with the sweeter character of pineapple and apple.

The heart becomes more aromatic and woody through Spicy Notes, Patchouli, Birch, Jasmine and Thyme. Birch and patchouli bring a darker woody character, while thyme reinforces the aromatic direction and jasmine provides a floral counterpoint.

The base moves into a deeper combination of Incense, Amber, Agarwood (Oud), Musk and Cedar. These notes give the composition its woody, resinous and smoky foundation and create a noticeably darker contrast with the bright fruit of the opening.
