When developing Solstis, the relationship between the two annual solstices served as the central inspiration. Fragrance Du Bois presents it as a scent for all seasons, moving symbolically from the brightness of summer toward the deeper atmosphere of autumn and winter. Apple, mandarin and bergamot evoke warmth and light, while spices, vetiver, sandalwood and vanilla gradually introduce a more grounded character. The composition was created by perfumer Shadi Samra and officially launched in 2022.

 

Olfactory Notes

Upon the first spray, Solstis opens with crisp Apple surrounded by luminous Mandarin and Bergamot. Pink Pepper adds a fresh spicy accent and a subtle rosy nuance, keeping the opening energetic without overwhelming the citrus and fruit. As the fragrance develops, Nutmeg, Neroli, Pepper and Cardamom form an aromatic heart where warm spices meet the clean brightness of white florals. Finally, Sandalwood, Vetiver and Vanilla settle into the base. The sandalwood brings a smooth, slightly milky quality, while vetiver introduces an earthy woody depth and vanilla softens the composition with restrained sweetness.
