Tropical Fruits in Flight: Toucan Zoologist

When developing Toucan, perfumer Simon Constantine drew inspiration from the vivid atmosphere of a tropical rainforest. The fragrance portrays delicate waterfall mist drifting through sultry air, sun-ripened fruit suspended among the trees, and the sudden flash of a toucan’s brilliant plumage. It is an exuberant composition built around tropical fruit, lush flowers and a softly spiced woody base. The brand presents it as an invitation to experience the jungle’s intoxicating energy with bold sophistication.

 

Olfactory Notes

Upon the first spray, Toucan opens with a colourful medley of Papaya, Orange and Lime. The citrus notes bring brightness and tang, while Coconut adds a smooth, creamy tropical quality.

As the fragrance moves into its heart, Jasmine, Orange Flower, Ylang-Ylang and Geranium form a lush floral canopy. Jasmine and orange blossom contribute luminous white-floral facets, while ylang-ylang adds velvety richness and geranium introduces a fresh green nuance.

Finally, the fragrance settles into a warm and comforting base. Benzoin and Tonka Bean provide balsamic sweetness, Sandalwood creates a creamy woody foundation, and Clove Bud adds aromatic spice. A touch of Vanilla softens the composition and extends its tropical warmth.
