From Baobab-Hollowed Vanilla: Vanilla Tana Gritti

The development of Vanilla Tanà by Gritti was a result of a trip to the heart of Madagascar, an island rich in history and untouched nature. According to the brand, perfumer Luca Gritti discovered vanilla beans stored in the hollow trunks of the island’s magnificent Baobab trees, absorbing not only the woody, primal energy but also the mystique of this remote region.

Olfactory Notes

Immediately, I experience a sharp, piquant sensation a burst of pink pepper and a floral hint of ylang-ylang, intertwined with a delicate vanilla orchid.  As it warms on my skin, the vanilla absolute emerges in full bloom, soft but radiant, enriched by tonka bean’s almond-cream nuance and the mysterious woodiness of baobab wood. Eventually the composition settles into a soothing, enveloping base: vanilla caviar plays the leading gourmand role, wrapped in creamy sandalwood, warm amber and whisper-soft white musk.
