My Top 5 Nasomatto Fragrances: A Collector’s Personal Ranking

Daniil Savishin
Nasomatto Fragrances

If you’ve been in the niche fragrance world for even a short time, you’ve probably heard the name Nasomatto. Created by the brilliantly unconventional Alessandro Gualtieri, this brand isn’t about playing it safe. It’s bold, artistic, sometimes mysterious — and always memorable.

As someone who has spent serious time exploring the entire Nasomatto lineup, I can confidently say this house is something special. These aren’t just perfumes. They’re statements. They’re moods. They’re experiences.

Today, I want to share my personal top five Nasomatto fragrances. This ranking isn’t based on hype or popularity — it’s based on two things:

  • Reach: How often I instinctively grab it.

  • Use: How often I intentionally choose it for a specific purpose or mood.

Let’s dive in.

Honorable Mention: Black Afgano

Before we start the official ranking, we need to talk about Black Afgano.

This is Nasomatto’s bestseller — and for good reason. It’s dark, resinous, smoky, and intoxicating. It has this almost mystical aura that makes it unforgettable. There’s depth, richness, and a certain forbidden edge to it.

While it didn’t make my top five using my personal “reach and use” system, I absolutely respect what it represents. If someone asked me, “What is Nasomatto about?” Black Afgano would be one of the first fragrances I’d mention.

It’s powerful. It’s intense. It’s iconic.

But now, onto the ranking.

#5 – Absinthe

Nasomatto Fragrances

Starting off the list at number five is Absinthe.

This is one of those fragrances that surprises people. It opens very green and aromatic, almost sharp in the beginning. You immediately get that herbal absinthe-inspired freshness. It feels alive.

As it develops, something magical happens. On my skin, it softens and reveals a slightly caramel-like warmth underneath the green opening. That contrast between fresh and sweet makes it incredibly interesting.

Absinthe is one of my favorite daytime Nasomatto scents. It works beautifully in:

  • The office

  • Casual outings

  • Even outdoor activities like cycling

It projects well without overwhelming people. The sillage creates a nice scent bubble around you, and it really blooms with body heat.

Compared to some darker Nasomatto creations, Absinthe is more approachable — but still artistic. It’s green, woody, aromatic, and complex enough to keep you intrigued.

#4 – Silver Musk

Nasomatto Fragrances

Number four goes to the incredibly unique Silver Musk.

If I could choose my natural scent — the way my skin smells without fragrance — this would be it.

Silver Musk is what I call a “you but better” fragrance. It doesn’t scream. It doesn’t dominate. Instead, it blends seamlessly with your body chemistry. And here’s the fascinating part: it smells slightly different on everyone.

On me, it’s soft, musky, slightly clean, and incredibly addictive. On someone else, it might lean warmer or more skin-like.

This is one of the easiest Nasomatto fragrances to wear daily. It’s perfect for:

  • Office environments

  • Close encounters

  • Situations where subtlety matters

The longevity is surprisingly strong for such a soft fragrance. It lingers for hours, almost like a second skin.

Unlike Absinthe, which leans slightly masculine to my nose, Silver Musk is comfortably gender-neutral. It’s intimate. Personal. Almost private.

It’s not trying to impress everyone in the room — it’s meant for the person standing close to you.

#3 – The Ultimate Masculine Power Scent (Duro)

Nasomatto Fragrances

Taking third place is what I personally consider Nasomatto’s ultimate masculine powerhouse: Duro.

This one is confidence in liquid form.

Duro is woody, leathery, slightly animalic, and carries an oud-like undertone. It’s bold. Assertive. Direct. When I wear this, I feel sharper, more determined, more focused.

It’s the kind of fragrance that feels like a coach in your corner, pushing you forward.

The projection is strong. The sillage is impressive. It’s noticeable — in a good way. And interestingly, it reacts strongly to body heat. Even a little nervous energy seems to amplify it.

This is not subtle. This is not shy.

Duro is for moments when you want to feel powerful:

  • Important meetings

  • Big presentations

  • Situations where presence matters

It’s unapologetically masculine. And while that might not be for everyone, when it works — it really works.

#2 – Baraonda

Nasomatto Fragrances

Coming in at number two is the beautifully addictive Baraonda.

If someone insisted on blind-buying a Nasomatto fragrance (which I usually don’t recommend), this is one of the safest bets.

Baraonda opens with a stunning whiskey accord. To my nose, it smells like honeyed whiskey — smooth, slightly sweet, and inviting. There’s warmth, but it’s not harsh or sharp like alcohol. It’s comforting.

As it dries down, you start to notice:

  • Soft florals, especially rose

  • Gentle woody undertones

  • A smooth, enveloping warmth

This fragrance evolves beautifully on skin. It draws people in. It feels intimate yet noticeable.

Despite the boozy opening, Baraonda doesn’t feel chaotic. In fact, it creates a strange sense of calm. It’s sweet, sexy, and versatile enough for many settings — including the office.

And if we’re talking romance?

If Baraonda is your first-date fragrance, you’re already winning.

It’s universally appealing without being boring. Artistic without being strange. And deeply attractive.

#1 – Pardon

Nasomatto Fragrances

And finally, in the number one spot… Pardon.

If you’ve followed my fragrance journey for a while, this won’t surprise you. Pardon was one of my first Nasomatto purchases — and it completely blew me away.

Where Duro is power, Pardon is seduction.

It opens softly with florals and spices. There’s warmth, but it’s controlled. As it develops, woods and deeper notes emerge, creating a smooth, refined composition.

But here’s the magic: Pardon gets better with time.

After two or three hours, it becomes something irresistible. It settles into this addictive, sensual cloud that feels both elegant and intimate.

If Baraonda is your first-date fragrance, Pardon is your second-date fragrance — the one that seals the deal.

For me, it’s incredibly sexy without trying too hard. It doesn’t shout. It whispers. And those whispers are powerful.

It also carries emotional weight. Certain fragrances become tied to memories — places, people, moments. Pardon does that for me. Every time I wear it, I’m transported back to some unforgettable experiences.

That’s when you know a fragrance is truly special.

Why Every Perfume Lover Should Try Nasomatto

Nasomatto isn’t a safe brand. It’s not mainstream. And it’s definitely not mass-appeal designer perfumery.

But that’s exactly why it matters.

These fragrances:

  • Interact uniquely with your body chemistry

  • Feel artistic and intentional

  • Offer strong longevity and projection

  • Leave lasting impressions

If you’re serious about fragrance, at least one Nasomatto bottle deserves a place in your collection.

Just remember — test before you buy whenever possible. These aren’t blind-buy-safe fragrances for everyone. They’re personal. They’re bold. And they evolve in fascinating ways on skin.

Final Thoughts

Nasomatto Fragrances

Ranking Nasomatto wasn’t easy. The top three were incredibly close, and my preferences could honestly shift depending on mood or season.

But right now, this is my personal top five:

  1. Pardon

  2. Baraonda

  3. Duro

  4. Silver Musk

  5. Absinthe

And Black Afgano still deserves its crown as the iconic bestseller.
