When developing Crystal Saffron Extrait, the idea of « a luminous, almost crystalline saffron » served as the primary muse. This is a powerful and intense fragrance that highlights its central natural ingredient, Saffron Oil Greece, described by Matiere Premiere as one of the most qualitative saffrons in the world. The Extrait version intensifies the original Crystal Saffron Eau de Parfum through a higher perfume concentration and an even higher dosage of saffron.

Founder and perfumer Aurélien Guichard selected Myrrh Oil Somalia as the guest ingredient for this Extrait. He describes myrrh as a textured note with an ambery aspect, bringing « round richness » to the radiant and vibrant facets of Crystal Saffron.

 

Olfactory Notes

Upon the first spray, Crystal Saffron Extrait opens with a sharp, bright saffron effect, emphasizing the radiant and almost crystalline character of Saffron Oil Greece. The scent feels luminous, spicy, and cleanly textured rather than heavy or sweet.

As it develops, Myrrh Oil Somalia adds a rounded ambery richness, giving the fragrance more depth and warmth while preserving the vibrant saffron signature. The composition becomes smoother, more enveloping, and more intense than the original Eau de Parfum.

In the drydown, the fragrance keeps a modern woody-musky structure, with saffron, myrrh, incense/olibanum, ambroxan, and habanolide musk listed by Wikiparfum as key olfactory materials.
